Poppy is TWO months old!

this month has flown by. poppy had a very busy month- she took her first plane flight, met her grandma in California, and all of her "friend-aunties" (AKA my childhood friends), and started wearing 0-3 month clothes!

poppy has begun looking more like herself and less like her brothers. she has beautiful lips and sweet little ears that stick out slightly at the top. smiles are happening more frequently these days, and not just because of gas (although she has a lot of that).

while we were in california, i took poppy on four hikes. she slept the whole time, she loves being carried on my chest in the carrier. thank goodness, she like the carrier, because it's now the only way i can get anything done in the house. she cries almost as soon as i put her down, so we do a lot of snuggling.

i love the weekends, because when tony's home, i get to take a long nap with poppy nestled in my arm. nap time is the best time, thank you very much. i will take any opportunity to snuggle with this baby girl...just like i did with her brothers before her. the sweetest thing she does these days is nestle, or burrow into whoever happens to be holding her. she likes to be held tight, then she turns her head to the side and begins to rub her face into the body of her carrier. i hope i never forget how that feels. she's making herself nice and comfy.

the two big boys are still enthralled with her. they kiss her constantly throughout the day. sailor wants to "see her face" all the time. he makes me actually turn her around so he can look upon her. Be still, my heart.

sailor started calling her Poppy-Pie, which has stuck. I refer to her as Pix or Pixie (because she looks so fairy like)...but everyone else in the house calls her Poppy-Pie.

*fun fact: easton was the one who started to call sailor, Sailor-Boy...which has stuck over these five years and EVERYONE calls him that. I think it's pretty cool that our two youngest kiddos received their nick names from their older brother.
