This Easter was really wonderful. We went to mass, ate deviled eggs, and hunted for Easter eggs. Easton got his very first Easter basket- which we stocked pretty well (if I do say so myself). His favorite Easter gift? A book, which is just his style. Caps For Sale, by Esphyr Slobodkina.

We had a visit from Tony's mom and step-dad (who Easton hadn't seen since Christmas) and my whole family including Easton's God-Mother, Megan. We missed Megan's parents who have spent Easter Sunday with my parent's for over forty years- but we were sure to dye some Easter eggs with their names, in their honor.

E had a wonderful time dying eggs. His little fingers were dyed blue and green for a whole day! It's been a few years since our family has done a proper Easter egg hunt, so we really enjoyed watching Easton hunt for brightly colored Eater eggs. He was pretty fantastic at hunting those eggs down!

We ended the day with Easter dinner and Life of Pi (which was amazing)! Easter is our most cherished holiday- filled with family, food, and the gift of what Jesus did for US so many years ago. We are truly blessed.

Also- Easton ate his first Peep!!! "Num, num."
