inside.

Easton takes far fewer naps these days. He has so much energy and wants to learn so badly (he's a sponge you know....soaking up all sorts of information all day long). I want his days to be full of imagination, play, learning, and fun. We play outdoors a lot. I'm really excited to be getting some soft soled rain boots so our outdoor play can continue during the rainy season. I can't wait until Easton feels rain on his face for the first time....that's going to be a pretty cool moment.

Pumpkin patch.

We had a nice little outing at the Pumpkin Patch on Sunday. We dressed E in his adorable pumpkin costume, and drove over to the top rated family pumpkin patch in the Bay Area. It really was a great patch of pumpkins- made better by the fact that our family friends joined in on the fun!

Hibernation.

I've been in hibernation for the last couple of weeks. It's been nice. Easton and I have enjoyed some pretty mellow days following his birthday party. We ran so many errands in preparation for his party, that we both needed a little rest. R&R with a baby still requires work, obviously....but we've stayed close to home and took far fewer car trips. I've become obsessed with Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, and Girls, and watch these fabulous shows during E's nap time. Easton has discovered balloons and cats (and he's obsessed with them)! His new favorite words are "cat," "hat," and "ball" (and he says them all at the appropriate times!) He has been walking a little more every day. My friend calls it the drunken sailor walk....he sort of- sways. It's very cute.

One thing you might not know about me....

celebrating ONE.

I had such an amazing time throwing my little guy's birthday party! I know that Easton had a fabulous time with all of his closest friends and family (about 50 people, in total) and I'm pretty sure our guests had a nice time too!
