New York, I miss you sooooo...

Sometimes, not all the time, but sometimes- I wish I could be back in New York living the urban life. Honestly, I haven't lived there for 9 years but sometimes I feel like I miss it so much I can hardly breath.

I know how beautiful California is. All my friends are here (save for a few close friends still in NY). Tony's dream job is here. Being a parent to a child in a car-seat in New York City might be the most inconvenient thing on the planet....but, with all that said, I actually would move back with not so much as a second thought. When I'm in New York, I feel at home. The chaos of the city actually calms me. It makes me feel safe.

When Jay-Z and Alicia Keys sing about New York being a "concrete jungle where dreams are made of, there's nothing you can't dooooo..." they are right on da money. When I'm in New York, I feel like I am a part of something so amazing. It's like, my energy adds to the energy of the city...NY wouldn't be quite the same without me and I am not the same without New York. I believe that one day, in one way or another- Tony and I will live there. Maybe it won't be year round. But it will happen. It has to.
Do you have a place that makes you feel like that? Maybe a city, town, or vacation get-away??? Tony feels most at peace when he's at the beach. Not me. I LOVE the hustle and bustle.
*All these pics were taken by me on my last trip out to NY
